Well not quite! I actually care how it sounds and that the client likes it too...

For over 20 years I've played weddings, parties and functions for a growing number of people. With
word of mouth, the amount of work has grown and the compliments on my work and professionalism
continue.

Who Am I?

Starting Out...
I started out tapping away on my grandparents' piano long before I can remember how old I was. At
eight years of age I was playing on my parent's piano without permission... then came classical
piano lessons when it was discovered I could play and read music, some singing guidance from
my opera singing mother, and my brother's guitar and chord book and my first 'home recordings' on
my father's tape player were made back in the early 70s.

Early Times...
I started early on playing in various school bands and 'jam' sessions, but I had such an eclectic
taste in music, and other interests taking up time, so when I realised that I was never going to get
the guitarist to stop playing for two seconds to listen (in any band!), I decided that a 'one manner'
would be the go. I started taping my own backing music on audio tape, and playing live guitar and
vocals over it. Later I bought a keyboard that I could program in the days earlier than 'general midi',
and I could sound as good as fm synthesis allowed a one man band to sound at the time.

The Wonders of Technology...
Several upgrades later, and with the introduction of computer programs to make sequencing
easier, digital sampling took over to the point where the sounds are almost indistinquishable from
the real thing. (I once played my guitar synth into a recording studio deck, and the sound recordist
(who was also a guitarist) was looking for the guitar!) For the last ten years I've played weddings,
bistros, corporate functions, 18th, 21st, 40th, 50th (all ages!). birthday parties and anywhere else
they'll let me play... sometimes for free! My C.Ds are produced at home using digital computer
equipment and software played through my P.A. desk. Many friends have come to visit, and gone
home with their very own performance of their favourite song on C.D.! On a professional level, I take
things seriously and expect to leave the 'client' happy to recommend me to others for similar
functions... my work is obtained by word of mouth (and sometimes my website), so my live
